ABOUT THIS ARTWORK

Sophia represents the highest expression of feminine energy — the eternal wisdom that transcends intellect, a knowing that is felt rather than rationalised.

This painting emerged at a time when Venus was cazimi in the sky, a moment where in traditional astrology Venus meets the Sun at the exact degree, going through a period of death and rebirth. Venus resurrects after being burned by the rays of the Sun, coming back from a journey through the underworld.
